It’s Tuesday. Which means it’s that much closer to Wednesday which is that much closer to Friday. I do like Friday’s. This Friday is Vanilla’s birthday, which means he’s turning Eleven.

11.

For each year he ages, I go back a number so I’m okay with that. He’s a little genius too. Flu shot? He got one. I’d give my left eye to have gotten the flu shot right about now.

My most favorite Mom was at the bus stop yesterday and again today (and you can read that with all the sarcasm it’s intended to have). Do you have those people who just rub you the wrong way? Who insult you flat out and then add sugar to the top to make it all ‘okay’? Well she is now coming to the bus stop again because other people must have finally told her what a hellion her kid is in the mornings. Let’s just hope she gets bored after a few days and goes back in her house where she can ruin someone else’s morning.

Yes, I really do like her that much.

Vanilla’s school changed semester this week. Now instead of gym everyday he has health class. Does that strike anyone else as odd? Dropping physical activity to sit in a classroom and learn about body parts? I would much rather my child spend the next semester moving said body parts in gym class. When I was a kid, back in the dark ages, we actually had gym every.day. Like serious physical activity every.day. Just look at which generation has the weight problem in childhood and it’s pretty clear to me which one we should be mimicking.

Two weeks till the new floors go in. I’m on a mission to get pups some booties for her feet so she doesn’t get splinters or a nail in her foot while the floor is torn up. But if I get the booties I’ll have to be careful not to get her a matching outfit. Because you know, that could happen.

I have a bunch of Finding My Inner Martha projects that I want to do around here. If I get well enough to accomplish them anyway.

What type of seating surface hold up the best to liquids? We’ve got the microfber like couch and it hasn’t held up too well to child sized accidents. I’m wondering if leather is the way to go?? But then you have the dog and her nails (not that she’s allowed on the couch….)

I never did blog about the most amazing post-holiday party ever did I? It makes sense since we came down with the flu two days later. Since the holidays are way, way to busy of a time for a retail giant to have a party, they have a post-peak party. The theme was Around the World and they had something from everywhere around the world. It was pretty much amazing. Spanish dancers, traditional German polka, French can-can, etc. A casino (all money went to charity). They even had a band at the end – Imagine Dragons. They were pretty incredible. Especially when there are a few thousand people right there with you. See for yourselves:

Not a bad Tuesday after all. What do your Tuesday Thoughts look like?
