It seems like I have about a million pictures of the Ultimate Roadtrip. And a million is a lot to sort through. I’ve made it to picture 299. Obviously no one wants to look at all 299 that I’ve thus far been able to look at myself. From the St. Louis Arch to the Custer Battlefield in Montana.
I know all I seem to post these days are pictures, but here’s a few more pictures in slideshow format to keep everyone happy.
It’s Moving Day! The truck is loaded (well, at least I think so, seeing as I’m writing this on Sunday night because the computers already packed at this stage), and we are off to St. Louis! Papa and I put a lot of time into researching where we were going to stop for touristy stuff (since we had to scrap our original baseball stadiums tour since we are moving 21 days later than we originally thought). Or rather I helped Papa plan while I watched the Vampire Diaries and he pretended to not be interested (secretly I think he was watching too). Here are the destinations we’ll be hitting along the way (we are going Clark Griswald style, and if you’ve never seen National…
I did it, I made the RoadTrip T-Shirt. Now, let’s just see if they arrive before we move…. Kids version (Vanilla gets his in orange and Sprinkles’s will be bright pink and say she survived sitting next to her brother) Customized Kids’ T-Shirt Grown up version – back side (Papa’s will be blue) Customized Women’s Standard Weight T-Shirt Probably the best spent money and the best memento we’ll have of the entire trip. Maybe I should see if they make matching dog t-shirts…. Images from SpreadShirt.com Design, purely The Blogging Mama

I’m trying to organize and get together everything that needs to be in the car, instead of on the moving truck. Things like; School Records – we have a meeting with the new school just days after we arrive in Seattle. I have no idea if our things will be in our house (knowing our luck, the movers will pick the day we go to the school as the day they want to move everything in), and who knows which box anything will be in. Despite their ‘good’ intentions, I often find items like spatulas…
After much debate and discussion, and plenty of “We’ve got to be completely nuts!”, we have decided the best use of the first week of May, moving week, is to drive from TinyTown, Central Kentucky all the way out to Seattle, Washington. If you’re keeping track that’s about 2,400 miles of “Are we there yet?” “I have to go to the bathroom.” “I’m bored/hungry/tired/thirsty/bored.” “She looked at me, she breathed on me, she’s thinking about me.” And yet…we are doing it. It’s going to be the ultimate roadtrip, and it will be well documented if only to keep me from losing my mind during the adventure. Starting May 1 we will be loading into the car for the 3 hour…
