It’s funny how sometimes the decision we know in one respect is a good one, can also leave us to wonder if it is the right one. They can be two different things. We recently made the decision to place Vanilla into 6th grade since he’d already completed 5th grade this year as an advanced placement 4th grader. His school principal agree with us and wrote a letter and included his MAP scores proving why he should be in 6th and not 5th grade next year. Vanilla seems very happy with the decision to go to middle school. He says he will still be bored, and in truth, he probably will be, but at least he won’t have to repeat everything he’s already learned…
